A code P0455 means one or more of the following has happened: A loose or improperly affixed gas cap or leak or damaged piece in EVAP system. The P1685 code relates to the engine controller having received an invalid key from the SKIM (Smart Key Immobilizer Module)

What would be evap system ? Also I changed the bcm out of another jeep maby it not reading the old key but it still running fine?
This indicates a fuel vapour leak or lack of purge flow in the EVAP control system. It means a large leak has been detected. The EVAP prevents the escape of fuel vapours from a vehicle's fuel system, vapours are routed by hoses to a charcoal canister for storage and cleansing. Later, when the engine is running a purge control valve opens allowing intake vacuum to siphon the fuel vapours into the engine. As you've changed the BCM the ECU has identified a part that has not correctly programmed into it's memory and is turning up as an error it may also indicate that the key is not recognised or the transponder is failing.

you might put original bcm back in and see if skim issue goes away. The skim module is located just below the ign lock cylinder. If this is bad, will have to be replaced and keys programed. The evap code, you need to look for split hoses. there is hoses that go to charcoal canister that are prone to split. if you lay under vehc at left rear tire and look up at the tubes that are up by fuel filter. one goes from steel tube to canister area. this one usually splits at the tee, in the canister area. There is also a large tube that hooks to the large rear port of the canister that splits. to lower the canister, there is one bolt at bottom of metal plate that holds the canister.13mm head. remove it. then look up into the area between metal plate and rear bumper cover. loosen this bolt, it screws into the frame. Then loosen the two bolts by the tire. Then pick up on the rear of metal plate to allow it to be UNHOOKED from the bolt. when the assm. swings down, you can access the evap. hoses. Its kind of a pain. also look at hoses that go to purge solenoid. This is the one on driver fender with the 2 hoses going to it. If you have a locking gas cap that is not a factory one or wrong cap, this can cause a leak as well. if cap fits, it can still leak through the ck. valve in the cap. put your lips around the threads of cap and gently blow. it should hold press. Hope this all helps.........

yes, the skim module comes from dealer. Just wondering, do you have a key to vehc. that cant be programed? Like a regular key. This key will set a code if used. IF the skim module is bad, the dealer will need to program it......

Ive seen quite a few pass door modules go bad. I had one that would shut down the network as soon a vehc. was started. the extra charging voltage was just enough to make it freak out. The alt. light would come on. Was fun to find........
