Head gasket?

Asked by Bethany Jul 31, 2017 at 01:13 PM about the 2003 Jeep Grand Cherokee Laredo 4WD

Question type: Maintenance & Repair

The jeep is not overheating and the oil looks good
(not milky or brown like it has mixed with water) .
After running the vehical, when I shut it off i Ann
getting some bubbling up through the reservoir
tank. Could this be something besides the head
gasket?

1 Answer

A bad head gasket does not necessarily leak oil into the coolant. Yours may be leaking compression to the coolant.
