Code p1764 governor sensor

Going insaaaane! I have a 2004 grand cherokee and check
engine came on. Code is p1764 which is the governor
sensor. Now from what I read thats actually called the
transducer.  BUT most videos for it people were also
changing the solenoid. SO i order both and chamged both.
Light was still on. I thought a part was bad so i started over
changing 1 at a time. (This is a pain as you have to drain
tranny fluid every time)  all said and done putting a new
solenoid and keeping the original transducer fixed the
problem and light went of. I went to autozone and had them
hookbup the code reader to check and they said nothing
showing.  2 weeks later BAM!! its back! Shoot me or help
me please. Could something else be killing the solenoid??
Could it be the transducer even though that wasn't the
problem the first time and what are the chances 2 weeks
later its that? Its just a real pain to open the trans pan and
drain it multiple times for trial and error like you could use
with other jobs (and its 15 degrees out right now) so any
help before I start would be so appreciated guys thanks!

First there is a traduced and governor pressure. I personally have issue I replaced 3 times had computerrepaired only to have code come back on. They are two sensors next to one another you always replace both. Anyways I am now at a loss. Replaced sensors 3 times had computer repaired now damn code is back and no one can tell me why at a light after car driven for 30 mins when u stop at red light you get hard shift cause not in first and sluggish take off? I can manually go 1 st 2 no to drive and fine. So mean less to say I have had enough as the same part went out two yrs ago. It's a jeep thing and I won't buy another jeep. Transmission and computers every couple yrs. my 1998 and now the 2003 same damn issues

I went to tranny shop they charged 600 for two visits and yep code still there. I personally being the driver think there is a wiring issue to the plug itself. I am not a mech and apparently neither is tranny specialist

P1752 does not show up for a jeep code, may have to check with the service department if this vehicle throws a p1752 code. Otherwise....P1752 - Input Clutch Solenoid Valve, Possible causes: Faulty Input Clutch Solenoid Valve Input, Clutch Solenoid Valve harness is open or shorted, Input Clutch Solenoid Valve circuit poor electrical connection. What this means is the Transmission Control Module (TCM) detects an improper voltage drop when it tries to operate the solenoid valve. TCM detects as irregular by comparing target value with monitor value. Possible symptoms Engine Light ON (or Service Engine Soon Warning Light). P1752- Description: Input Clutch Solenoid Valve is controlled by the Transmission Control Module (TCM) in response to signals sent from the Park/Neutral Position (PNP) switch, vehicle speed sensor and accelerator pedal position sensor (throttle position sensor). Gears will then be shifted to the optimum position.

Just wanted to post my experience. I had the p1764 governor pressure low. Did all types of transmission test. Change solenoids and such in the tranny. Light came back on. Ended up being 2 down stream o2 sensors. Who would have thought that? Car was running real boggy, and shifting weird. Hope this helps. I do not understand why the light didn't come on for the o2 sensors??

I had this cold for a few weeks and was dreading what it could be I was ready to drop the transmission pan and no thankfully my mechanic found two hoses that were slowly leaking out transmission fluid and cost this code be sure to check your transmission cooling hoses and make sure they are good

Hi Gang! 2002 JGC, also the p1756 code. Truck stays in 3rd, good thing its not heavy. Anyway, had a friend change out the govenor pressure sensor and new fluid/filter, no change. I got to where I was using the shifter to hit 1st & 2nd, but then it started shifting to OD off while driving down the road. Tomorrow I will replace the O2 sensors. I need to remember to disconnect the negative terminal from the battery. Thanks for the information!
