Question type: Maintenance & Repair

What does it mean when youget a dinging sound
when opening the door? It's an unfamiliar noise
that it doesnt usually make . And gets nothing
when you turn the key , not even a click

The dinging sound means the headlights were left on, or the keys are in the ignition. The fact that there is not enough battery power left on to make the starter click, makes me think the battery was depleted by the headlights left on. Get a jump start and fully recharge the battery on a charger when you get home.
