Some times I have a klunk and jerk in the drive train when starting from a stop

Asked by canam175 Apr 30, 2014 at 08:39 AM about the 2004 Jeep Grand Cherokee Special Edition 4WD

Question type: Maintenance & Repair

I have an all-time 4 wheel drive Jeep Grand Cherokee with the 4.7 V8, sometimes when
driving and stopping the drive train will klunk and then learch/jerk when starting off in
forward. When shifting to forward there is a hesitation in initial shift that doesn't occur in
reverse.
