2005 jeep grand Cherokee noise at 35 to 40 mph then goes away

When driving my grand Cherokee I have a whirling noise at 35mph then goes
away at 45. Found front drive shaft cv joint bad not sure if that would cause
the noise.  Any ideas before I replace the transfer case?  Thank you for
assistance

On my old Jeep it developed a whirring sound and it wound up being the transmission. Had to get it overhauled, so at that time I had them beef it up while it was torn down. These are known to have weak transmissions. I will never own another Jeep.

If you have a bad U-joint it should be replaced , Or get rid of that thing before major problems occur
