Service 4wd system message comes up when trying to put in 4wd low. Before I go to the dealer is there anything I can check myself.

okay there is a solenoid that engages the 4wd...check it for normal operation~ http://www.ebay.com/itm/like/321286955994?lpid=82

I would take it and have it scanned for free at like autozone then at least you will have a ideal of what there talking about and compare what they have and what you have and go from there... hope this helps..
