BREAK LIGHTS NOT WORKING

My tail lights work but when i break the light doesn't
come on. Please help hopefully it's something i can
fix on my own

Ok get in vehicle and look right behind brake pedal it's a little box with a little prong that points out at the pedal should be a scrrw and a plug holding it in if it's bad or sticking it will most likely be it and also make sure your fuse is good
