I have a 99 A6 quatto that gave me a p1338 camshaft position sensor . I replace it ans it still wont turn on?

17746 P1338 Camshaft Pos.Sensor,Bank1 Open Circ./Short to B+ looks like it is more than just a bad sensor. you put it on bank 1?

Check in with the owners over at Audiworld.com and Audizine.com - they might have pictures of where that sensor is on the 2.8L.
