1998 audi a4 1.8t on the driver side where the oil filter srews into the whole unit what it called i was told that it is my oil cooler but it is lecking oil from the top of the part and it only does it when the car is running it does have hoses that connet to it

they will be coolant hoses it prob is the oil cooler when the engine is building oil presure
