audi engine problems

Every time i start my 98 audi a4 1.8t it idles from 1
to .3 flutcuates bad and hen i give it gas its like it
wants to die . exhaust shoits out blacolk smoke
when it idles like that i cant even drive it someone
help please!

Your engine needs a cleaning. Your likely suspect is carbon build up in the engine, turbo or egr valve. try running some cleaner threw your oil before a oil change should clean a bit of the crap out. You should replace the spark plugs also since they are most likely due for a change regardless. (use bosch 4 point plugs they are the best) have the turbo checked by a garage to make sure its not clogged or falling apart as well. and check all the crank case hoses. They tend to get full of sludge after some time.
