I have a 2005 A4 cabriolet 3.0 engine. The timing belt broke and the engine needed to be replaced. The used engine had 70,000 miles on it. Before we installed it we changed the timine belt and water pump. The car will not start. It has fuel and spark. we did a diagnostic and everything checks ok. We even tried a new computer.

The problem with this question is " car will not start " do you mean will not turn over or will not start up while turning over? If it turns over but wont start try spraying starter fluid in the throttle body then turn over to see if it starts. Having fuel pressure doesn't mean fuel to the throttle body.

The engine turns over. All the coils have spark and after cranking it over when I pull out the spark plugs they are wet with gas. I did try your advice with the starting fluid but it did not help. I rechecked all the connections across the wiring harness I even rechecked the timing for the timing belt. It almost seems like the spark timing is off but the computer controls that.
