Can you please help me to identify the L-shaped part that connects to the air filter housing?

Asked by pawpeezy Nov 26, 2012 at 11:31 AM about the 1998 Audi A6 2.8 Sedan FWD

Question type: Maintenance & Repair

I would like to replace the small part that connects to the component, that the air filter sits in; the part has a L shape, but I don't know the name of it.
Thanks

Sorry, but the piece I'm referring to; comes from the engine, and connects to the case that the air filter sits in

I will keep trying to find a better image of the components and see if you can pick out which one. Is there anything attached to it, other than just a bracket holding it in place from engine to canister?

Other than that if I come up empty, just tell the part guy at the dealer exactly the way you asked it here, and/or bring it with you
