THANX FOR ANSWER: DOUBT CAR NEEDS TUNE UP, UNTIL SUDDEN ONSET OF PROBLEM IT RAN PERFECT AND GOT 28 MPG AT 80 MPH ON FREEWAY; NO CHECK ENGINE LIGHT, AND NO CODES WITH CHEAP OBDII READER. I'M SUSPECTING ONE BAD C.O.P. (CAR IS 1998 4.6L 4V).
