Engine won't start after valve cover gasket change

Question type: Maintenance & Repair

Just renew both valve cover gaskets. Engine don't start as before with old gaskets. Car
has new spark plugs, new distributor cap, new distributor rotor, ignition timing checked.
Fuel pressure is good, sparks works good the same as fuel pump. Starter twists engine,
exhaust smell appears, but engine won't starts. Any ideas?

Make sure you did not pinch any wires under the valve covers when you reinstalled them. You may have grounded a coil or ignition wire. "Tom" is right. Recheck your work and you will find your problem.
