door locks

Asked by Michael Jun 12, 2011 at 03:12 PM about the 1992 Lincoln Town Car Executive

Question type: Maintenance & Repair

The battery is disconnected ,can't unlock the front doors.
Tried factory code and keys,no luck...
Any ideas?

you may be able to reach up from under the bumper and pull the release where the cable is attached

The electronic entry system will not operate when the battery is disconnected or "dead". There should be no reason why your key should not unlock the drivers door, unless you are using the wrong key or the door lock has a problem. Check to see if the door key will unlock the trunk, if it does, then perhaps the door locks were changed.

I have a 2003 Lincoln Town car,that the auto part of my truck stop working.I got someone to look at it and they have it latched but it is not closed all the way.Do you know anything about it?

How does one get the tumblers out of the passenger door.
