1992 Lincoln Town car brake lights won't work, after checking fuses and bulbs and replacing brake light switch? help please...

Found out what the problem was. The brake light switch has a metal plate (made in Taiwan) that was bowed, so it couldn't be pressed all the way down to make any connection.
