I have a 1993 Lincoln town car that sometimes runs and does not run. When it runs it runs like it is misfiring. I have changed the fuel regulator and the fuel pump. Could this be the ECM? Sometimes when it runs it dumps fuel and I get a lot of carbon on the ground and sometimes it runs right but now it will not start at all unless I spray ether into the intake. Is the ECM the problem?

What has made me come to this conclusion is because the fuel pump just keeps running even though the car is not running.
