New wiper motor only rotates one way.

Yes. The arm on a wiper motor is supposed to turn one way. It does not make your wipers turn that way. Wth the system of arms between your wiper arm and wipers, that circular motion from the arm pushes and pulls the linkages for the wipers to move up and down. If it turns clockwise, at the 12 o'clock position, the wipers are fully up. At the 3 o'clock position, wipers are returning halfway down. 6 o'clock position, wipers are fully down. And at the 9 o'clock position, the wipers are halfway up
Ben. You rock!! Of course! It's the linkage that changes the direction of the wiper movements. It makes sense now, First time I ever changed out a wiper motor and was very scared that it was wired wrong or faulty. You really helped me.
