Perhaps do a google search to see what they look like using the search term "99 Lincoln Town Car Catalytic converter" There are actually a total of 4, with 2 being connected on each side of the exhaust near the engine.
4 but you can have that reduced to 2 without a problem. be sure to tell muffler shop u want to keep YOUR old cat converters cuz u can sell them for at least $30-50 EACH. Don't take no for an answer!
