Worn out this is common. Also Lincoln is notorious for leaking around the wiper screen which allows that water to come in on passenger side under dash. and water doesn't help, the grease dries out the metal starts to rapidly rust. The teeth are probably worn down that moves the seat back and forth. What you can do is go to the recycle yard and pick one up. and the track un bolts from the bottom of the seat. Which allows you to use your seat on the new track. But spraying grease on your tracks is the way to go. And probably rust treatment
