Why is the fan not blowing?

If everything checks out ok it is either the blower motor switch or blower motor is bad. It is best to check power going to blower motor with a test light.
Are you asking about the interior fan or the fan located on the radiator? At least 2 other things will prevent the radiator fan from operating: A bad sensor or a bad fan motor.~~~~ If you are asking about the interior fan then tell us if the fan has been working on all speeds or has it lost one or two speeds ... if it has then your resistor pack is bad (can be a tough repair on some cars) ~~~ if all speeds were working and now are not ... It's a fuse or relay
I was talking about the radiator fan under the hood on 2009 lincoln mkx. I had found a po480 code error. The fan hadn't been overheating but sensed that the a/c was briefly not as cold. After fiddling with it for over a week, went and bought 2 Murray fans and module kit. The fan 1 doesn't always come on when turning on the a/c. I pop the hood at various times and find the fan is running most times but not always. Sometimes I will flick the blades with a stick and it will start turning. Getting tired of this though. Doing another diagnostic won't work since I reset the computer and now am stuck with a P1000 code. Should I just replace the fans anyway even if the repair shop can't verify the Po480 code. What else can be checked before replacing the fans and module that comes with the kit?
