Question type: Maintenance & Repair

The a/c blower fan stopped working, after checking the fuses and fan motor,
I replaced the fan speed controller resistor,The fan now comes on but when
the button is pushed for the dash vent to come on the air blows through the
defrost vents. there is a blue vacuum line from the back of the control box
that came loose from somewhere when i removed the control box from the
dash, and there is vacuum on that blue line when the dash vent button is
activated. All the ohter position work fine and distrubet the air as designated
by the control box
