2002 town car intermittent wipers

On my 2002 town car my wipers started working intermittent.
I replaced the motor and I didn't notice any problems for several months.
Then started again. I tested the switch and it still didnt work so i put in a new
motor. I think the first new motor got wet as the drain was pluged. Then
happened again so i replaced the switch with a motorcraft switch.  Is there
anything else it could be? The wiring looked ok and of course fuses are
good. I swapped  the relay with the one next to it under the hood. Still works
for a bit then quits. Then wont shut off, for a bit then goes off. Please any
help would be great. I saw one post that the LCM has something to do with
it?

Thank you for your answer! I just bought an oem wiper control module. Its behind ashtray on the right side. Not too hard of job after you find it haha. While the old wcm was still there i turned the wipers on and they stuck about 3/4 up, turned on and off until it got to park. Then replaced the wcm and it seemed to work fine. Put all back together and went around the block spraying washer fluid and they worked for a while then stuck 3/4 up again. Problem not fixed. So I have a new motor, new switch, and new wcm. Crazy thing. Maybe short somewhere? any other ideas is greatly appreciated.
