Overheating

Asked by Guru1HDLB Sep 09, 2019 at 11:41 PM about the 2003 Lincoln Town Car Executive

Question type: Maintenance & Repair

I have put a radiator cap, thermostat, and a cooling fan sensor in already.
Water pump is only 6 months old. Car still overheard, mainly if I used to A/C.
Fan is working fine when I have the hood up, it comes on when when the car
reaches the right temp and when I turn on the A/C. Take it down the road and
it starts overheating again. Please help, don't have money to take it to a shop.

There's a kit that you can buy on Amazon that checks your head gasket for leaking it has multiple radiator cap and a pump and a gauge this allows you to see whether or not your unit is pumping out more than the 12 to 14 lb it should have or if you're losing pounds because your radiators losing internal check your oil to see if your oil is creamy or if it's still clear but it sounds like you have an issue with a head gasket
