Resetting Parking Assist

My parking assist is de-activated.  I have tried to re-setting it using
the manual and it is not working.  What do I need to do?

The parking aid system will be disabled if any fault is detected. This will be indicated by the message center in the overhead console indicating park assist disabled. Most likely a bad sensor or wiring issue. If the sensor was dirty or blocked the system would just beep all the time indicating you were about to run into something.
