alright, here is what i have done...i was able to "kick" the door open from the inside..all other locks were in the open position, so i expected the right rear was not locked, just jammed...i cleaned the door lock by spraying copious rem-oil on the mechanism..waited a few minutes and repeated the dousing....then shut the door...but it would not grab the lock post on the frame..got out my tools, adjusted the locking post and shut it again...it caught but was not a good fit with the frame...so reopened the door and readjusted the lock post...closed the door and it grabbed and closed to a smooth alignment...cycled the locked/unlocked switch and checked all doors several times....appears to be a working solution...thanks for a place to blow off steam...read some of the other fixes and found additional useful info.....again, thank you......Tom

What's rem-oil? I'm able to use pliers and pull up the lock button while activating the "unlock" switch, and then use WD40 on the lock mechanism to make sure that's not sticking , and it works for a few clicks. . .but a couple of days later, it's stuck again. . .this is left rear door, 2005 Town car. Is there a better kind of grease? Do I need to remove the door panel to see what's jamming it ? The lock is clicking, just seems cramped by something. any ideas?
