If my car has a ticking sound when I'm starting it
then I jump started and my lights are flickering on
and off the power steering is hard to move what is
the problem

Battery is 60 months old? and needs to changed. Check voltage 12.6 and have it load tested, possibly ground connection is corroded, loose, check the terminals and #2 gauge wires, alternator output less than 13.4-14.8 volts with engine running, use multimeter for testing. Inspect for worn idler pulleys, tensioner and serpentine belt. IF this doesn't eliminate the issue, have a voltage drop test done on the starter circuit. Regards

Sounds like the serpentine Belt broke or one of the pulley bearings went out. Does it overheat?
