Wipers on my Grand Marquis

Asked by TRW92 Feb 19, 2020 at 02:13 AM about the 1992 Mercury Grand Marquis LS Sedan RWD

Question type: Shopping & Pricing

I think I need to replace the wiper governor in my
car.  The wipers won't turn on at all but they work
when I use the wiper fluid.  I can't find the part
anywhere or even what it looks like.  Any help
would be so greatly appreciated

I had this same problem. Unfortunately, Ford no longer manufactures this part, so a junk yard is your best bet. So far, I've had to replace 3 of them. You will find it under your dash towards the radio. There will be a white module mounted on top of this part. I've attached a photo of what the wiper governor module looks like. Hope this helps. I pulled mine out of a 1993 Ford Crown Vic and it works so far. Good luck to you
