My Merc has no interior lights at all and clicking like crazy in dash

I have a '95 Merc and the clicking in the dash and under the hood are
making me nuts.  The rear defrost light is flashing as well.  All fuses and
relays checked. Even with car off and keys in ignition it still clicks. This all
happened at the same time. Today it  decided to keep clicking with keys
removed but clock decided to work ....what the heck?  I just can not get
ahead-ever!

Now it has a new feature besides no dash lights and dash clicking. It beeps once when key is most of the way into ignition and randomly a quick beep when running. :(
