Some of the national brand auto stores will check your charging system for you. Make sure battery has a full charge and connections all good. Note the wiring diagram. The generator bat terminal is hot all the time, even with key off, use a test lite to check. If no voltage check the fusible link. The A terminal is hot all the time and fuse protected, if no voltage, you may have to check the fuse. The I terminal in my opinion is excite voltage, w/o excite voltage the generator won't charge. Have you had the generator tested?
