Question type: Maintenance & Repair
I have an 1989 grand marquis and the is a short in one of the alternator wires. the green wire is the problem it doesn't hold any electrical current and is not recharging the battery If you put an electrical current directly it resumes to charge the batter. does anyone have a solution or a blue print for the wires so I could change them myself or have someone else do it. thank you for the help in advance.

no light dashboard lights once the car is running but when I turn the key with out running the engine the only lights one the dash are the engine, check engine and battery.
I tried doing a search but I cannot locate the diagram you are talking about.
its not letting me look it up. all I get is a grey page or big with other searches. is there any way I can find the diagram.
How do you replace/fix it
