how do you repair a power window on the drivers side on a 1997 grand marquis ls

Pull the door panel. usually it's the cable. Sometimes motor and cable. Try Rock Auto, don't go to the dealer. Do you hear any noise from the motor?

Yes motor works I need upper and lower cables.Or do I have to buy the whole thing already assembled, plus the roller the one the cable rods on

RockAuto.com With or w/o cables, it's the cheapest and easiest, however they sell it. Brother in law had good luck this way.
