the codes show a misfire in cyclinder 2 consistently. it also includes cylinder 6
and 7 on occasion. the fuel injector and coil work and new spark plugs platinum

new platinum plugs in, it runs worse. what is the problem?

Compression test that cylinder. If it reads very low, there's your problem. Burned valve and it's not worth fixing! Hope that helps! Jim

Could be bad coils, or bad PCM (computer), if not the compression issue. Intermittent, gives me a clue.
