Exactly where is the speed chime module on 99 grand marquis.

Asked by octavian8a Nov 18, 2017 at 11:39 PM about the 1999 Mercury Grand Marquis 4 Dr LS Sedan

Question type: Maintenance & Repair

Maybe never installed.  not mentioned in owners manual and I never heard it go off, though not sure what speed it would be set at.  The Ford wiring diagrams say it is "behind RH side of I/P".  Shows three wires to a 6 pin connector.

Ford dealer thinks I'm crazy, thought maybe it was only crown vics but nothing found there either. In the 1999 merc/vic wiring diagrams it's not listed as a police option. Thinking it's for European cars.
