2000 murcury marquis wontpull out of park

It gets stuck in park and I cant pull it in to gear

The other possibly, Check for a burnt out brake light change it, yes, (the high mount light) in the rear window too, and shift out of park.

Do your stop lights come on(all)? could be a bad brake light switch, or one of the wires going to it could be broken(happened to me) I think they sell a pigtail to fix that, or just crimp on a new spade terminal.
