Why don't my tail lights work on my 2000 Grand Marquis the turn signal and brake lights are working.

I changed a socket out for my license plate
light. The bulb was blown & the old socket
was corroded and somewhat melted.

Fuse could be blown because of the Lic light. Also, the Lighting Control Module could be bad, if nothing else is found. Check the bulbs also, 1/2 could be burned out.
