Your power steering pump could be defective, could be low on fluid, the fluid culd be old and needs to be replaced with fresh.

The steering in my 2000 Grand Marquis was wobbly walking everywhere very hard to Dr and so we jacked it up and check the control arms and everything and found out that the idler arm bushings was wallered out so we bought a brand new idler arm replaced it and the drive-ins No Better Could It Be the pitman arm or what else could it be

It did drive better for 2 days and then it's worse than it was before we change the idler arm I jacked it up and wobbled my wheel back and forth from now put my hands at 9oclock and 3oclick wobbled it back and forth and the idler arm is loose again what would make it be loose again would it be bolts not be tightened up correctly or anything else

It must be loose, or defective. Cracked frame? You've got to watch it while another person shakes the wheel (Right one). Make sure tie rod ends are not bad, they could be.. Pitman arm could be bad, all can be told by watching for movement.. Could the steering box be loose on the frame?
