Why did the a/c on my 2001 Mercury Grand Marquis stop blowing cool air?

Question type: Maintenance & Repair
The air conditioner was working fine the last time I ran it and then it was only blowing
warm air. The compressor is not kicking on. It was suggested that this could be caused
by a fuse or low refrigerant.I haven't taken it to shop yet. Any ideas?

Yes that would be the first two things to check first low or no freon and fuse. If no freon you have a leak because if it was just low the compressor would click off and on.
I've had pressure switches get hung up as well. Being a 2001 it is a possibility. The low pressure switch is typically located at the accumulator (canister). I've given them light taps with the handle of a screwdriver to free them up. But ultimately I would recommend to have the system inspected and tested for charge.
