My son bought a 2004 mercury grand marquis - elite edition, the ac just stopped blowing altogether, I checked fuses....any help here would be appreciated....

Question type: Maintenance & Repair

I unhooked the positive battery cable.... didn't help, tried the hint i have read
about of holding the floor and another button down, then hit automatic (?)... I
did follow instructions correctly.... didn't do anything.   Possible relay?  The
compressor does cycle on and off intermittently.... but nothing is blowing out
of the ac vents at all.  Thanks for any suggestions....

Yes, could be relay. Sometimes there are fuseable lings that can go bad too. If those are o.k. then check the voltage coming to the blower. If no power at either the blower or resistor pack then you might have an error with the Climate control unit itself. Good Luck
