While replacing an inside light I seem to
have blown a fuse (forgot to turn off light
when changing bulb) and all the familiar
stereo locks stereo ock stopped working.
However, when I checked the fuses (All of
them double and triple times) they all
worked.. whats the deal?

Is it only the stereo went out?And doe,s light work ?
Stereo, iside lights, clock, power locks
Do you have park lights and dash light,s?
Ok. if there are not any blown fuse,s,start by removing the bulb you replaced completely out,see if you get fire back to anything?
Okay tried that but no life still
Did you check under hood for fuse,s and relays?
Haven't checked the relays, if there is no blown fuse, it is still possible to be relays?
Yes.bad relay will kill the power also.I checked and your car is one that has problem,s with the relays blowing, check them out there under hood.
Oh okay. Im half car-knowledgeable, which is the relay and how do I check if it is blown. I assume it is in same box as fuses under hood? Really appreciate the help.
There should be a few there the same, just swap them out, unless you have a ohm meter to ohm them.and yes in fuses box under hood..Good luck with it.
it will be the little black or gray box
Okay I switched them all, no effect. I dont know what else it could be
It,s got to be a short in a wire,i think i would start looking at that light you changed.
And it will be a ground wire, because no fuse,s are blowed.
Okay, I cant see into the mirror so esily, should I just take it somewhere and tell them what the deal is?
Yes,if you feel you need to, Good luck with it.
Really appreciate the help! I will repost when problem is fixed
Clock on top of dash is a 15 amp fuse in drivers side fuse panel. It also does the cig lighter and some of the radio functions. Number 16 I believe.
I just did the same thing in 2003 Eclipse GTS. Blown fuse was 22 or 23 under the hood, in the yellow box. I used a boning knife to pry the box away from the tabs that hold it. I got everything back except interior lights, in the rear view mirror.
I don’t have interior lights or clock or radio in none of the functions are working properly and they just went out
1992mustang I have a electrical drain. I check all the fuses and all are okay. The battery is brand new. If i leave the car overnight the battery is dead. I tested all the fuses one at a time. all are good. With all the items off. and i reconnect all items the Neg terminal with the Neg Lead. it will spark. Is it the alternator? Please help.
I'm the guy that asked the question, David's answer was it! the yellow box had a fuse that needed replacement
The fuse in yellow box under hood keeps blowing as soon as put in, to radio, dome light, power lock in 07 Eclipse. Trying to find cause & fix, sounds like very common problem, and advice be greatly appreciated! Thanks
