Where is access to fuel pump from rear seat area?

I need to replace the fuel pump on my 01 Motero Sport. Everything I read says to drop the tank as well as removing an access cover underneath the rear seat. I pulled the seat and carpet but do not see any access plate to remove. I dropped the tank but do not have enough room to see the fuel pump area to remove the lines and pull the pump.

2002 Mitsubishi Montero its dificult to check voltage to the fuel pump connector. Fuel relay is at the kick panel passenger side. you need to rise the vehicle about 10 inches front and rear. Its better to replace fuel pump when is low on gas. By the rear tire passenger side there is a plastic cover remove it and disconnect all the hoses. disconnect battery power. lower the tank with the jack and disconnect the fuel pump connectors. At this time its easier to check if you have voltage at the connector. if you do replace fuel pump. you can also bench test the fuel pump once is removed. Install new pump and lift tank. I know is a pain in the ass. Right
