What is the cheapest way to fix a 2001 Montero Sport XLS that is having a hard shift to the firsrt and second gear and is stock on the third gear?

I had the transmission seal replaced because of an oil leak. Now the leak is gone but the
transmission will not shift right...hard shift on the first and second gear and is stock on the
third gear.What is the cheapest way to fix this problem Thank you.

sounds like you have bad shift solenoid or 2,, you have a check engine light?? if that's what it is then its not hard to change at all, just have to drop the transmission pan on the underside of the transmission and then pull the solenoid that's bad and then plug the new one in and usually run around 60 - 120 for those

mine says solenoid B is bad. which one is that?
