Water leaks inside the car on the passenger side?

Asked by bdk111701 Sep 23, 2009 at 07:18 AM about the 2002 Mitsubishi Montero Sport LS 4WD

Question type: Maintenance & Repair

Hello, I have a 2002 Mitsubishi Montero, and recently I have noticed that when my AC is on high, and I make sharp turn to either the left or the right, I can hear the sound of water rushing from what seems to be behind the glove compartment. Water also leaks from somewhere under the glove compartment onto the floor mat on the passenger side. Does any one know what this might be? Thank you!

CHeck the drain in your evaporator case. It sounds like it is plugged up. (Probably leaves or other debris)
