Can I change the front transmission seal on my mitsubishi montero sport 2002 without bringing the transmission down?

Hi. No you can't, you would have take your transmission down first, take the torque converter out and then you will find the seal. If you do this job, remember to replace the transmission oil pump bushing to, so the seal wont get damage again, and check that the torque converter "neck"

I replaced the front seal 2 times and my transmission still have a oil leak.Iinstalled it one way the first time and the other way the second time. and is still leaking. is it the pump. or the transmission it's self.?

Mark, you said to change the trans oil pump bushing to, do you mean trans fluid pump bushing?
