Hot Fuse Block
SYLVANIA
Olds - fuse diagrams
Recently, within a week or two, I’ve
come out to a dead battery.
I had been noticing when I would shift
in the drivers seat putting on seat belt
or just shifting weight for some
reason that the power would
decrease and I could here the engine
slow & the courtesy lights would dim
& then return to normal when I shifted
my weight again.
I figured it must be the power seat
shorting or something so I checked
the power seat fuse block and sure
enough, it was hot enough to burn
my hand. This was 3 hours after I last
used the car. I removed the fuse
block.
My question is this, is this ok the way
it is ?
Is the electrical connection to the
power seat completely disconnected
and not a concern any longer ?
Any fire danger ?
Do I need to put something in the
empty fuse slot or is it just fine to
leave it empty ?
Thanks, Brian
