oil can and bell alert continue even though i changed oil was told to replace a faltycensor now the service engine soon light is on could they be related

First, have a parts store scan the computer for codes. Second, check you oil level. If its full, you might have just a bad oil pressure switch, or a more serious problem of actually having low oil pressure. I would buy the oil pressure switch and rent or buy a oil pressure tester. Since youll be removing the oil pressure switch anyway, before you install the new one, hook the tester up to where the old switch was threaded in. That way you know if your oil pressure is where it should be.
