Car won't start, cranks over fine. anything to checkout before I get into the fuel pump?

This car was driven about 120 a day. Ran great one day and the next morning it wouldn't start. It cranks fine but doesn't fire. I checked the fuses they were all good. My first thought was that the fuel pump went out. Anyone got anything else to look at before I replace the fuel pump? Any help would be great.

Dear stevenseward-- Believe it or not, it is often the battery that is at the root of a starting problem. Get a jump start and see if your 1994 Pontiac Grand Am will start then. If it starts, get a new battery. If not, check fuses, spark plug wires, the fuel filter and other simple possibilities. If none of that works, then I am afraid you have to look into the more complex possibilities, like the fuel pump or starter motor. Good luck from Bovan.
Get a can of starting fluid. Squirt some into the intake. If the engine tries to start, it's a fuel problem. If the engine doesn't fire, it's an ignition problem.

I got a 1995 Pontiac Grand am it won't start and come out of park ran good just park it for a day anyone no anything about it
