see the fanbelt? waterpump is uasually the pulley in the middle of the front of the motor and the thermostat is located about 8 inches above that in a housing that your upper(top)radiator hose connects to. Follow the top hose on radiator to motor, thats where thermostat is hidden!Hope that helps you!
get somebody that knows about cars to fix your problem.
telling you how to fix a the water pump is not gonna fix your car. there are tools you need & skill to use them. if you really want to do it yourself got to auto zone and buy a chilton or any other repair manual, then go to sears and buy a set of tools . even in your question you dont mention what engine you have , if its a six cylinder the water pump is in the front of the engine on the passenger side it the large pully with no groves and 4 bolts holding it on .(thats just the pulley). you might need a special tool to get the belt off. (also availible at sears). if you want to test it for a leak fill with water(not anti freeze since it's only gonna leak out) let the car warm up and look around for the leak ,if its the water pump you'll see it leaking behind the pulley. if not look along the base of the heads or a freeze plug.hope this helps .
