We have a 97 Pontiac Grand Am with a6 cylinder engine replaced fuel pump because car stopped running and we thought that was the problem but it still running it doesn't seem to be getting adequate spark we tested wiring coil pack sensors need advice also there is no security lights in car maybe because it's a late model 96 I'm not sure

Check for proper fuel pressure at the fuel rail. There's a port next to power steering pump. Black cap that unscrews on the aluminum rail. If there is proper fuel pressure check compression in the cylinders. Remove all spark plugs and do a compression test. Unplug harness from coil module before testing. This will make sure camshaft isn't broken (common in the 3100 engines) try that then let me know. You should get some info from starting there.
